NICK CURRAN
President
Nick Curran is President of Executive Search Partners (ESP) and has been in the executive search industry for over 30 years. He has helped build countless executive leadership teams throughout the country with his candid, consultative approach, and sound business acumen. Nick’s boutique executive search firm, ESP focuses primarily in representing private equity and venture capital backed investments in multiple manufacturing and service-based industries. Nick is a proven and accomplished leader in the executive search industry; consistently leading ESP as one of Wisconsin’s most recognized and respected executive search firms. Nick is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and is also a Certified Behavioral Analyst.
Nick is the father of two amazing daughters, an avid golfer, platform tennis and pickleball player. Nick also enjoys riding his road bike, playing the drums, and attempting to stay in shape!
MARILYN HACKNEY
Vice President
Marilyn Hackney is Vice President of Executive Search Partners (ESP) and has over 25 years of experience in Executive Search and Human Resources. She has played an integral part in building ESP from its early beginnings to what it is today. Marilyn focuses on all facets of the business managing research, operations, human resources, and finance for ESP. Marilyn’s energetic, direct, and professional approach has enabled ESP to consistently be a top-rated executive search firm in southeast Wisconsin. Marilyn received her Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and is also a Certified Behavioral Analyst.
Marilyn loves spending time with family, friends and her new grand puppy, Stella. She also enjoys golf, fitness, and creating amazing works of art. Marilyn is an active volunteer and serves on the Women’s Board of Directors and membership committee at Westmoor Country Club.
DAVID LOPEZ
Executive Search Consultant
David Lopez, an accomplished, award earning Executive Search Consultant, has a long history recruiting in every discipline at the executive level. David has exceptionally broad knowledge in all aspects of manufacturing and service industries. David has played a key role at Executive Search Partners for over 15 years. David truly understands that exceptional recruiting goes well beyond filling a job. David attributes his success to his ability understanding the unique challenges of his clients, building trust driven relationships and utilizing robust recruiting strategies to attract the best talent. David is a graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Outside the office, David is committed to fitness and is an avid cyclist. He also enjoys keeping up with his four grown kids and four grandchildren.
PAT SLOAN

Pat Sloan is an accomplished Executive Search Consultant and Professional Services Leader with over 25 years of experience providing exceptional executive level recruiting expertise. Pat represents fortune 1000 companies, private equity, and all disciplines in privately held businesses across the United States. He is a firm believer that people are a company’s greatest asset, and you need the best and brightest talent to build world class organizations. Pat has developed broad industry knowledge encompassing information technology, software engineering, finance, marketing, sales, engineering, human resources, operations, and supply chain. Pat holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater.
Pat and his wife Penny have three children and six grandchildren. When not working, Pat enjoys hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and spending time at his cabin in Lake Tomahawk, Wisconsin. He is an active member of the Wisconsin House Outdoorsman’s Club and is the captain of his Sporting Clay’s team at Wern Valley.
